The end is in sight

Today is the long-awaited last day of my 3 week NTL program at UCA. I can somehow relate to students much better after this....because my goal next year will be to create entertaining lessons...after sitting through powerpoints, videos, and lectures for 8 hrs a day, 14 days...I am motivated to not put my kids through that. ha... I will miss my wonderful friends though. It is amazing how much you get to know people spending 8 hrs a day with them for 3 weeks. Some great, lasting friendships have been made...you know who you are!!! Thanks Beth, for inspiring me to create a blog...I would have never come up with the idea on my own.

Chris and I celebrated our anniversary on July 8. It is wonderful to share a life with my best friend. I can't imagine my life without him. He's a great husband and team mate.

Now, on to projects around the house. I need to re-seal our deck and we are going to be adding on a pantry and home office to our kitchen. I am also going to refinish an old piece of antique furniture that has been passed down from my great grandmother.

Of course, we will find time for R & R along the way. I am very thankful for all the ways I am blessed. I love my life. Right now, I am looking forward to going home and having a nice, big glass of sweet tea.
